The Silk Road Festival
We get invited to a whole range of festivals and events but the Silk Road Festival did capture our imaginations. So we said yes please. Unfortunately as this was based in Syria, World events got in the way. We were still game to go, but other countries dancers were refused exit permissions by their governments. So with only three visiting foreign teams the Syrians reluctantly cancelled. The sad thing is that the last week of September and the first week in October were quiet in Damascus so no harm would have come to those who simply wanted to spread joy and happiness through dance. Oh well maybe next year?
