I've been morris dancing for nearly 40 years and will pass on dancing comments,
songs, music and other morris dancing views from my dancer perspective.

Train delays play Yes Train not rain. I live near the Bluebell railway and a passing train got caught up in the trees and pulled down the telephone line. At least that's what I've been told. The train was on a transporter being driven down to the railway, I don't live THAT close to the railway line!!
However all that stopped me telling you about the excellent Hurstpierpoint Arts Festival, it finishes this weekend, we were there last weekend. We had hoped to pick up a few new men and teach them the joys of Morris but alas they were elsewhere. Do they (You) know what they -you- are missing. We still had a great time and the locals seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves, we even got some of them joining in.
We had put aside the Wednesday evenings in September to teach new men but as we did not have any we are using the time to teach Northwest Clog dancing to our newer men who up to now have only been dancing the Cotswold style. If all of this sounds double Dutch or better still if it sounds interesting then find out more at our web site crmm.org.uk it is not too late to join and details can be found there. No I will not tell you here, you need to work for your pleasures.
Coming up soon will be what I can remember about Saddleworth, and talking of remembering, I will tell you about our Nov 5th activities as well.
